About us
Navalport S.r.l. is a metalworking company established in La Spezia in 2013 after many years of experience in the naval, port and industrial sectors gained by both its members and management.
The Company specializes in the production of turnkey naval systems (manufacturing, assembly and testing of hydraulic pipes) and in the ordinary and extraordinary port maintenance activities of Unloading (UNL) quay cranes and other types of container unloaders such as Stacking (STG) and Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG).
Navalport S.r.l. has qualified and trained Staff boasting decades of experience such as pipe fitters, mechanics, carpenters and BUREAU VERITAS and RINA certified welders who are capable of satisfying even the most urgent intervention requests. We have also developed a welding process (WPQR) (TUV RHEINLAND) for continuous wire and electrode welding.
Besides the operational personnel, the company Staff also includes technical, commercial and administrative employees, thus allowing our company to offer all its customers a global and punctual service, complying with the ISO 9001-2015 BQC certification.
Since 2019 the Company has moved to the new Sarzana plant which comes with offices, a warehouse and a modern workshop equipped for the building and assembly of naval and carpentry pipes in general, in addition to the one already present within the port area of La Spezia.
Naval Plant Engineering
Navalport s.r.l. guarantees the building, assembly, pressing and testing of pipes as required by the Customer's technical specification. We make "turnkey" systems complete with material supply and warranty. We give our assistance and support to the customer during the realization and implementation of the main systems relating to the engine room, accommodation and deck rooms. Moreover, we perform the assembly and alignment of the main motors, propellers, fans and electrical panels. Finally, we assemble pumps for pressing diesel tanks, black / gray water and fresh water too.
The materials we usually handle are pressfittings, stainless steel 304 and 316, pvc, multilayer, cupronickel 90/10, aluminum, brass and bronze fittings, high and low pressure hoses for hydraulic systems. For the painting of the on-board pipes we use specialized bodies.
Port Maintenance
Navalport Srl carries out the maintenance of harbor cranes of all types such as quay cranes, gantry cranes both on rubber and on tracks (UNL-STG-RTG) by carrying out carpentry, mechanical and welding works. It specializes in revamping, i.e. the transformation of old cranes into reliable and technologically advanced work tools, with obvious advantages in terms of safety and productivity.
By port cranes revamping, we mean raising them by inserting newly built portals, extending the boom, remaking the wheelboxes, the winch room, the electrical substation and the operator's cabin, as well as anything else necessary to make them efficient and functional. These adjustments make the cranes suitable to be used on the latest generation container ships.
We carry out crane re-draining and re-draining activities too.
